Do you have questions about academic support, student advising, which classes you need for your major/graduation or tutoring? Do you need to find counseling or learning assistance support? The Student Experience Office provides assistance to students as they continue their academic career at ACAD, and encourages student’s academic development.

Academic Advising at ACAD

Advising at ACAD can help to:

  • Clarify academic goals
  • Understand ACAD requirements, policies and procedures
  • Select a program of study, or Major
  • Evaluate the impact of dropping or withdrawing from a course
  • Learn about other opportunities of study such as Mobility/Exchange
  • Identify other ACAD and community resources
  • Create strategies for reaching goals
  • Develop your decision making skills as a growing artist!

Tutoring and Academic Skills Support

The Student Experience Offices at ACAD are home to many supports and services to enhance student success and provide individualized support for ACAD students. Our Student Experience Office provides services to enhance student success and to provide individualized support for ACAD students when they need it most.

Learn how to study effectively, get tips on writing papers, and access peer tutoring through our ACAD Academic Skills Support Office. Here, you’ll find the support services you need to succeed academically at ACAD.

Learning Assistance

Located in the Student Experience Office, Learning Assistance Resources provides support services, resources and programs for students and faculty. We offer services for students with disabilities, pedagogical support for faculty working with students with disabilities, assistive technologies, exam invigilation for students requiring exam accommodations and access to funding - including Provincial and Federal Grants.
