Admission To Bachelor Of Fine Arts Majors

Upon successful completion of the required 30 credits in First Year Studies, Fine Arts students enter BFA general studies in which they are expected to complete an additional 30 credits in preparation for their major. Students may declare their major in one of the Bachelor of Fine Arts majors upon completion of First Year Studies, a minimum 60 credits and all 200-level courses required for the major. Students must be in clear academic standing in order to declare their major. Since registration priority in 300- level studio courses may be given to students who are admitted to the major, students are strongly advised to declare a major as soon as they have met the requirements for the major.

It is recommended that students who intend to major in Media Arts + Digital Technologies successfully complete Pure Mathematics 30 and a 30–level Science (Physics 30 is strongly recommended).
