Q: What do students need to know about the security rules and regulations at ACAD?
A: Students should be aware of the following safety regulations enforceable on the ACAD Campus.
Q: What should a student do if they have an accident on campus?
A: All studio areas have a fully equipped first aid kit for minor injuries and there is a First Aid Station on the Mall level near the lecture theatre. It is critical that the first priority is to have first aid administered or get medical attention.
All accidents or injuries, regardless of severity, must be reported to the area supervisor or person in charge and to the Security Office at the time that the accident occurred.
Security will complete an Incident Report and forward a copy report to the Assistant Registrar's Office. Security will also provide the student with the required Workers Compensation Forms that must be completed and returned to the Assistant Registrar located in the Student Experience Office within 48 hours of the accident.
Q: How can I get around safely on campus at night?
A: SAITSA Campus Safewalk is a free, volunteer based service dedicated to ensuring the safety of all SAIT and ACAD staff, students and visitors when travelling on or near the ACAD and SAIT campuses.
ACAD Students have access to the SAITSA Campus Safewalk.
