Computers on Campus
General Access + Lab Computers

C+TS supports the operation of over 10 computer labs and pods on campus that are available for student, staff and program use. There are also several locations on campus that provide laptops connections to the campus network and beyond. C+TS also supports the operation of a wireless network on campus.

Printing is available in many of the computer labs using your Network Access Account (NA2). Each account is pre-loaded with print credits that will allow for a reasonable number of black + white prints. Colour printing is available through the IOLAB.

Wireless Campus

We offer free Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the building for students. This service will allow you to connect to local college resources and the internet. At speeds up to and beyond 108mb/s* you won't be able to tell if it's wired or wireless!

Please note: It is currently unsecured, but will require a network access account (NA2) in the future. If you do not know your NA2 information, we strongly encourage you to contact the helpdesk.

General Access Computers

General access computers are located in the main hallway of the fourth floor and in the Luke Lindoe Library on the second floor. ACAD general access computers are PC's and are loaded with internet applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Two scanning stations are located with the fourth floor general access computers; these stations have flatbed scanners and Adobe Photoshop. Most general access computers also have front located USB connections for offloading digital cameras and connecting USB memory keys. Student accessible Black & White printers are situated at both locations. Students require a Network Access Account (NA2) to use ACAD computer stations.

Network Access Account

A Network Access Account (NA2) provides a student with a range of technology services:

  • A college e-mail address and account
  • Computer access and laptop connections
  • 1 GB of personal disk space (accessible from all campus lab + general access computers)
  • Digital Printing Services in IOLAB (additional charges may apply)
  • Access to licensed software (pre-installed on college owned computers)

Your NA2 and initial password are available through your webService account, detailed instructions on obtaining your default password are available here. If you cannon retrieve your password, or if you lose it, come by in person to the Helpdesk (Room 436) with your ACAD Student ID Card.

Use of your NA2 will be subject to published terms of use. C+TS reserve's the right to suspend, and, if necessary remove all technology privileges if the circumstances support this.
