


Extended Studies credit courses are taught by ACAD faculty members, to the same standards as our regular credited courses. A portfolio review, or submission of a previously earned degree, or a meeting with the program head is required before admission to your first studio credit course.
ACAD's Extended Studies program opens the doors to thousands of Albertans each year, welcoming students of all ages into the studio setting. As an Extended Studies student, you can study visual art, media arts, and design in our well-equipped studios through a full year schedule of challenging and creative courses.

Extended Studies Instructors are professional artists, designers and writers with active practices in their fields. They will help you make the most of your creativity by promoting critical thinking and problem-solving, and will teach you effective technical skills for realizing your creative vision.
