2011 PORTFOLIO REQUIREMENTS FOR 2ND YEAR VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS DESIGN APPLICANTS
Design Department Information Session

First Year Studies students and Advanced Standing Applicants wanting to apply to either the Photography program or the Visual Communications Design program are invited to attend a information session in the Lecture Theatre on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 1:00 PM.

The information session will give students the opportunity to review the portfolio guidelines with the faculty and to have any questions they may have answered.

2012 Portfolio Requirements for Applicants to the Photography Program
A. PORTFOLIO

20 Work Samples: (Number Your Works and provide a Title or Description of Each Work).

  1. Fifteen Photographic Images in Digital Form. Must include three Landscapes, three Portraits and three Still Lifes.
  2. Documentation of Five Pieces of Non-Photographic Foundation Year Work. Must Include Documentation of two Drawings (Representational or Non-Representational).
B. LETTER OF INTENT

Please answer these Short Answer Essay Questions: (Answer in No More than 100 Words per Question)

  1. What do you expect from the Photography Major?
  2. What do you have to offer the Photography Major?
Application Deadline

Applicants to the Photography Major who are currently attending ACAD should download the application, complete all sections and return it to the ACAD Admissions Office before 4:15pm on April 2, 2012. Late applications and portfolios will not be accepted.

Portfolio Deadline

Portfolio: Internal applicants must submit portfolios via slideoom before 4:15pm on May 1, 2012.
