Coming this May 16 - 26, 2012, the 86th annual ACAD Graduating Student Exhibition is the highlight of the academic year. With works from nearly 200 graduating artists and designers from all areas of art, craft and design, this is one exhibition of Canada's most exciting creative minds that you certainly do not want to miss.
Are you a graduating student in the last year of your program at ACAD? Be sure to understand the requirements for graduation and convocation, and get involved with your grad show and convocation ceremony.
Are you interested in being a part of the grad committee? If so, volunteer today! We hope to have one volunteer from each department represented on the committee. Contact Dan Barnfield (dan.barnfield@acad.ca) if you’re interested.
The deadline for graduation applications is Wednesday, February 1, 2013. If you expect to graduate this spring (even if you don't plan to attend the ceremony), you must submit an application to the Registrar’s Office for graduation by this date. There is a $30 grad fee that most of you will already have paid with the fall tuition. Some of you may have slipped through the cracks, and will be contacted by the Registrar’s Office once your application to graduate is received if you still need to pay this fee.
Be sure to attend the final Grad Info Session to go over Convocation Day and the Procession – Wednesday, April 4th @ noon in the Lecture Hall. It’s very important that you’re there!
If you have not already heard from us, please see the Registrar’s Office for your official grad check to ensure you are on track to graduate in May 2013. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the courses required to graduate.
If you are completing courses at other institutions that are required to fulfill your grad requirements, your official transcript with the final grades must be received by the ACAD Registrar’s Office no later than May 1, 2013.
Convocation is coming soon, but first, you have to register to graduate! The deadline for graduation applications is Wednesday, February 1, 2013. If you expect to graduate this spring (even if you don't plan to attend the ceremony) you must submit an application to the Registrar’s Office for graduation by this date.
As a senior year student, you’ll have the exciting chance to participate in the 27th annual ACAD Graduating Student Exhibition. This unique exhibition is a special glance into the work of graduating students from ACAD’s Ceramics, Fibre, Glass, Jewellery + Metals, Drawing, Media Arts + Digital Technologies, Painting, Photography, Print Media, Sculpture, and Visual Communication Design programs.
