Student Galleries on Campus

ACAD students have taken over campus with their work – showcasing it in formal and informal gallery spaces on every floor of our Calgary home. With opening receptions throughout the academic year, ACAD’s main building is alive with student art and design, and we invite you to join us as we celebrate our student’s work. With eight different student run independent exhibition spaces including the Cahoots Gallery, the Polly & Esther Gallery, the 378.5 Gallery, the Ivan Gallery, the Print Gallery, and the Upper and Lower EP Kase Galleries, ACAD students are showcasing their creative thinking, and their unique contributions to the art and design community year round.

Our campus is also home to a professional student run, student curated gallery space – The Marion Nicoll Gallery (MNG). The Marion Nicoll Gallery showcases only student work, and is curated and managed each year by ACAD students.  This professional gallery space has been home to the first shows of some of Canada’s most exciting artists, and opening receptions for shows at the MNG are among ACAD’s most unique public events.

Marion Nicoll Gallery

The Marion Nicoll Gallery (MNG) is unique on ACAD’s campus and is a home for over 50 student shows every year. With three spaces (Main Space, LRT and +15), the MNG exhibits a variety of student work, from Jewellery + Metals exhibitions to group performances and installations.
