Johannes will give an artist talk at ACAD on Thursday March 8 at 2:30 pm in the Stanford Perrot Lecture Theatre. BBB Johannes Deimling has worked as an artist in the fields of performance art, video, installation, drawing and music. His work is internationally recognized and has been presented at numerous exhibitions and festivals all over the world. Since 1998, Deimling has devoted much of his practice to lecturing and teaching on performance art at various academic institutions including: F+F, school for art and media design (Switzerland), Estonian Academy of Arts (Estonia), NTA – Norwegian Theatre Academy (Norway) and many others more. BBB Johannes Deimling is the founder (2008), director and professor of PAS – Performance Art Studies.
BBB Johannes Deimling facilitates the PAS Performance Art Studies workshop #24, as part of M:ST 5.5 “Making Way” is a series of performative workshops and outreach activities, supporting and building the capacity of the performative arts community in Calgary and Southern Alberta. Johannes will give a workshop in Calgary March 5 – 15 which will include 7 ACAD students. The work produced will be performed at a two day event March 16 and 17, 2012.
