2018 Alberta Culture Days

Alberta Culture Days is a three-day celebration of family-friendly arts and cultural activities at sites all across the province. From September 28 to 30, hundreds of FREE family-friendly events and activities take place across Alberta that celebrates numerous unique and interesting aspects of the province’s culture. In 2017, almost 100,000 Albertans enjoyed the festivities.
This year, the Alberta College of Art + Design (ACAD) is thrilled to be a part of Culture Days as one-of-five official feature sites offering three full days of arts and culture programming. You're invited take part in a major exhibition opening and guided gallery tours in the Illingworth Kerr Gallery (IKG), along with artist presentations, panel discussions and demonstrations, Indigenous teachings, and cultural workshops in the Lodgepole Centre.
ACAD will host FREE programming and activities that include indigenous smudging and drum demonstrations, the opening of the Unpacking IKG: 60 Years a Gallery exhibition, an international ceramics conference, and more!
