ACAD + CPO Collaboration - Weill & Glass: Voices of the Damned

ACAD will be collaborating with the Calgary Philharmonic on two musical works at the Jack Singer Concert Hall on October 30th providing innovative visual journeys.

ACAD’s CE3C (the Creative Environment for Emerging Electronic Culture) will be creating thepieces, produced by faculty member, Kurtis Lesick, directed by Alumnus, Greg Debicki, and created by a team of talented emerging artists who are current students in ACAD’s Media Arts program. 

This year ACAD will provide visuals for a double-bill concert, Weill & Glass: Voices of the Damned the opening night of the Festival of Fairytales & Legends. Cabaret star Ute Lemper, the world’s foremost interpreter of Kurt Weill, makes her Alberta debut in The Seven Deadly Sins and the second half of the program will feature the Orchestra’s premiere of Philip Glass’ spine-tingling Edgar Allan Poe tale, The Fall of the House of Usher.
