Brett Robinson Kilroe Scholarship for International Studies

4th-year Visual Communication Design majors who have applied to, and preferably been accepted to, an international school to further their design education

Application process: 
  1. Upload all supporting documentation (images, statement, etc.) to Slideroom
  2. Application Deadline: Feb 1 (*applications will be accepted on the following working day, if the deadline falls on a weekend)
Submit/Submission : 
  • Five (5) images of work
  • Artist statement
  • Students must provide a one-page statement as to why they want to study internationally and why they have selected a particular school or program. (Note: selected school of study does not need to be degree granting)
  • Eligible students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to apply however, the scholarship will be awarded solely based on quality of portfolio. (For example, a student with a 3.0 GPA with an exceptional portfolio should take precedence over a student with a 4.0 GPA with an average portfolio)

 

Notes: 

Scholarship recipients are asked to:

  • Send a thank you letter and photo to the Donors and Cleo Kilroe (Mother of Brett Robinson Kilroe) upon arriving at their chosen school
  • Return (in person or via internet if travel isn’t possible) to the College after program completion/graduation and share their experience with 3rd and 4th year students. (To be coordinated with the student by the School of Communication Design Chair or their designate)
  • The Donors and/or the family of Brett Robinson Kilroe would like to meet the scholarship recipient where possible
