ACAD 222 - Artists Workshop

This course will provide an introduction to the practices of performance and installation. Performance will be an important part of this course, but there will be a special focus on installation and ideas based on terms such as 'site-specific' and 'public intervention'. Students will learn to create maquettes, address logistical concerns of larger scale installations as well as creating actual on-site pieces. There will be information and examples provided of installations involving special lighting, sound, video projection, outdoor sites as well as a number of other mediums and approaches.
