AHIS 320 - Contemporary Indigenous Practices (LS)
This lecture/seminar course explores contemporary Indigenous cultural production across selected themes and contexts. Students will be introduced to a broad range of practitioners and work across multiple mediums that include but are not limited to those of ACAD’s immediate surrounding region, such as the Treaty 7 land on which it is located. Work will be considered through a variety of critical perspectives such as colonialism, gender critique, Indigenous identity in global contexts, and identity construction.
Any 200-level AHIS, plus completion of First Year Studies.
