MADT 307 - Computational Arts

This course focuses on the development of media artworks that employ programming, scripting, and algorithmic structures. Students will investigate two programming languages, one code-based and one visually-oriented. Students will use these tools to develop sound, video, performance and interactive art projects. Additionally, lectures will examinee aesthetic and conceptual issues related to the use of technology in art practice. Students will work independently and collaboratively to further their knowledge of code-based art practices.
