PNTG 300 - Painting Studio I

In this third-year course, the student is facilitated in undertaking self-directed studio investigations through various modes of artistic inquiry. The course emphasizes development through broad experimentation and critical reflection upon the motivations and creative processes of the student’s art practice. Together with PNTG.301 and PNTG.302, this course prepares the student for Senior level major courses.

NOTE: It is recommended that this course be taken concurrently with PNTG.301.

One of PNTG.223 or PNTG.225; and one of PNTG.224 or PNTG.226; or consent of the Chair in consultation with Painting faculty and/or the instructor.
