You’re invited to the first Market Collective of 2018! It’ll be a wonderful Spring weekend of local art, craft, and design. There’ll be music, food, drinks, and much much more!

Market Collective is an independent market, created to showcase the works of local artists, artisans and musicians and to strengthen the local community in Calgary.

Fibre Fortnight is a yearly celebration in the ACAD mall exhibiting the achievements of students in classes in the Fibre Program from first to the fourth year.
 
The name of the exhibition was coined by our beloved Jasmine Valentina, a student, at the time, in the Fibre Program.

Artists Statement

The hero’s tale is an intriguing concept; it is a reoccurring theme embedded in nearly every human story describing a downtrodden yet virtuous figure and their path in overcoming obstacles to arrive at success. This narrative describes the core characters journey of all religions, countless mythologies, and all of the Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series.

IKG Live 2

WHEN: Thursday, January 11 until Saturday, January 13, 2018

WHERE: Illingworth Kerr Gallery, Alberta College of Art + Design

 
IKG LIVE is a 3-day festival dedicated to live art that takes place at the Illingworth Kerr Gallery (IKG), Alberta College of Art + Design (ACAD). Organized by Lorenzo Fusi, Visiting Academic Curator, the festival is this year at its second edition (IKG LIVE2).
