Film Screening: The River by Jean Renoir

Exquisitely shot in luminous Technicolour The River is a visual tour de force and a glorious, meditative tribute to the sights and sounds of Indian culture. It became the first Technicolor film made in India as well as first color film for director Jean Renoir, son of the impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
