Alberta College of Art + Design welcomes Nicole Hamilton as the new Executive Director, Continuing Education + Professional Development.
Nicole has almost 20 years’ of experience in higher education and has held a variety of roles as a senior administrator working to direct strategic growth and position institutions for national and international recognition. She worked with businesses and post-secondary institutions from across the country and most recently directed the development of a groundbreaking partnership to fortify the sustainability of the institute as the National Vice President of Education, with the Canadian Institute of Management. Nicole has several years’ experience in practical and applied learning environments and entrepreneurial education. She has been successful in evaluating market competitiveness and responding with innovative programs and services designed to enhance the student experience, and provide educational pathways that fortify both the personal and professional interests’ of the students.
Nicole has a Bachelors’ of Arts, a Masters’ in Business and a Master’s in Education with a specialization in Adult Education. She has a personal interest in art which comes from the advocacy that she has provided to burgeoning artists. Nicole is also inspired by the wide range of opportunities that is currently available within the field of creative art and design and wants to bring new learning opportunities to ACAD, for a diverse range of student audiences. Originally from Winnipeg, Nicole recently relocated to Calgary and looks forward to working collaboratively with the ACAD community.
