Best in Show Announced for blindspot Exhibition

The ACAD Photography Association (APA) presents blindspot: SILVERLININGS as part of the Exposure Photography Festival.

blindspot: SILVERLININGS, is a lens based exhibition that embraces the idiom that every dark cloud has a Silver Lining and the exhibition explores this enduring paradox.

This exhibition includes lens-based work in a variety of mediums by the broad student base at ACAD.

blindspot was juried Yves Trépanier of the TrépanierBaer Gallery. He selected three students for Best in Show and noted it was a challenge to pick only three.

The three selected artists were:

First Overall + Best in Show: Brook Rosales - 10,000 Hours
Prize: $500

Second Place: Neil Kathol - Grey Lining - Milk Dots
Prize: $250

Third Place: Anastasia Kircheva - Native Perception
Prize: $100

Overall, Trépanier was impressed by the quality of the submissions and  would like to recognize all the students that submitted and/or were shortlisted.

The prize money was donated on behalf of ACAD President's Excellence Fund.

blindspot runs from now until Sunday, February 14.
